Assignment 5, Interpretive Fiction or Escapist Fiction

Interpretive fiction makes you think so reading this kind of book for English class would make the most sense but most people like Escapist fiction. Personally I don't mind either, its just depends what it is about, but from what I am hearing in the class most like the escapist fiction book more. Reading something you like is better then reading something that makes you think even for English class because trying to read something you don't enjoy is like trying to read a text book -- unless you like reading text books -- you just read the same sentence over and over again, and can't get through it. Have you ever read a book you didn't like? Do you agree?

Interpretive fiction can be good too mainly because in class you should learn and think which is basically what these book make you do. I love books that make you think, not really who symbolizes what but good questions about things. Interpretive and escapist fiction confuse me because I interpret things from books that are most likely meant to be escapist fiction. Interpretive fiction books are good to read at beginning of the class because they make you start off your day by thinking which can probably make your day of school go a lot better.
